Printers: Math
SHARP MX-M623N (Mail Room Printer)
1. Navigate to http://siica.sharpusa.com/product-downloads
2. Select MX-M623 for the "Product" and click "Search".
3. Expand the "Drivers and Utilities" tab on the bottom of the page.
4. Download the Windows 64 bit OS Driver Package that includes the Universal Driver
5. Extract the downloaded zip folder by right clicking it and clicking Extract all. Accept the default extraction location or use your own. If you are using 7-Zip you may need to right click the file, hover over 7-Zip and click "Extract files..."
6. Once the folder is unzipped, go into it and run the setup.exe
7. Click the "I accept the agreement" and click next.
8. Click "Add a new Sharp printer" and then click "Basic mode".
9. On the next screen it should default to "Specify the MFP IP address". Click next and enter "10.255.0.249" in the hostname or IP Address section.
10. Name the printer "Math Mailroom" for ease of use. Click Next.
12. Do not share the printer, click next.
Once it is done you can try sending a test print if you would like to test it.
To configure the Sharp printer to staple papers:
1. In Settings (Windows 10), click Devices.
2. Under "Printers & scanners," select the Mail Room Printer (it may be named something else, like the hostname from above, or "Sharp MX-M623N PCL6").
3. Click Manage, then Printer Properties.
4. Open the "Configuration" tab in the printer Properties for the MFP:
Click on "Auto Configuration.."
For Large Capacity Try, select None.
For Inserter, select No.
For Output Tray Options, select Finisher.
5. Click OK and then Apply.
You're all set! While in the Printer Properties window, it might be a good idea to rename the printer, if it isn't already set to something like "Math Mail Room Printer."
To print with staples from Office products:
with the Mail Room Printer as the selected printer in Print Preview, click on Printer Properties.
Under "Document Style," select the desired settings.
Under "Finishing," select the desired Staple settings.
If Staples are selected, the upper finisher tray on the Printer Image should turn green.
